In the winter of 2022, a domestic dispute in Wayne, Michigan, escalated into a tragedy that claimed the lives of two sisters. On the evening of January 5th, 18-year-old Shyanna Hall and her 30-year-old sister, Dominique Parchmon, were shot multiple times at the Lara Apartments on Niagara Street.
The man believed to be responsible was Christopher Lewis Greer, Dominique's 32-year-old live-in boyfriend. An argument between Greer and Parchmon is said to have preceded the fatal shooting.
After the violent encounter, Greer fled the scene in Parchmon's car. When authorities arrived, they found Parchmon deceased. Shyanna Hall was still alive and, before succumbing to her injuries at a local hospital, she identified Greer as the person who had shot them.
A manhunt for Christopher Greer was immediately launched, with the U.S. Marshals Service offering a reward for information leading to his capture. Authorities warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous. The car he had used to flee was later found abandoned in Ypsilanti Township. For months, Greer remained at large, and the family of the slain sisters pleaded with the public for any information that might lead to an arrest.
Nearly seven months after the killings, in June 2022, Christopher Lewis Greer was apprehended in Arkansas. His arrest brought a sense of relief to the community and the grieving family, marking a significant development in the pursuit of justice for Shyanna Hall and Dominique Parchmon.
