In the summer of 2022, the life of a young boy from Shelby, Michigan, was tragically cut short in a devastating act of violence that stemmed from a history of mental health struggles. Ten-year-old Ethan Rumley Anewishki, a Caucasian male, died on July 25, 2022, after being shot by his mother, 38-year-old Melissa Anewishki, in a murder-suicide.
