In October of 2022, the life of 17-year-old Taya Land, a female and a young mother, was tragically cut short. Her body was discovered on the side of I-94 near 8 Mile Road in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She had been shot in the head three times. The grim discovery launched an investigation that would soon lead authorities to a suspect.
