On April 18, 2010, Amos Bailey, a 25-year-old African American male from Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot in the city's South Side. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when Bailey was walking near his residence. According to police reports, he was approached by an unknown assailant who opened fire, striking Bailey multiple times.
