Travis Woods, a 23-year-old former Jackson State University football player, tragically lost his life on February 1, 2015, in Lorman, Mississippi. The incident occurred outside Patton’s Store, near Alcorn State University, following an altercation at a club. According to Claiborne County Sheriff Marvin Lucas, Woods was shot during the early hours of the morning, around 2:30 a.m., after a fraternity party.
