In the spring of 2015, a violent outburst in Corinth, Mississippi, claimed the life of 22-year-old Deonta Dwayne Herman. The fatal incident unfolded on the evening of Saturday, April 4th, at the Nashway Apartments. Authorities reported that the scene was chaotic, with a large crowd of over 100 people gathered when a barrage of gunfire erupted. An estimated 50 to 80 shots were fired, creating a scene of panic and disarray.
