In the summer of 2015, the life of 21-year-old William 'Dalton' O'Meara was cut tragically short in a violent encounter in Picayune, Mississippi. A former placekicker for Picayune High School, O'Meara was fatally shot on the evening of June 18, 2015. The young man, who was a lifetime resident of Pearl River County, worked as a granite installer.
