In the summer of 2015, a young man’s life was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. Michael Love, a 20-year-old male, was fatally wounded in a shooting that stemmed from a roadside argument. The incident unfolded on July 1st, near Pine Lake Drive, where Love had been engaged in a conversation with the occupants of a red SUV. The verbal dispute escalated, leading to shots being fired from within the vehicle, striking and killing Love.
In the days that followed, the Jackson
Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division worked to identify those responsible for the senseless act of violence. Their investigation quickly led them to a primary suspect. On July 6, 2015, authorities announced the arrest of 17-year-old Kenyatta Robinson. He was subsequently charged with the murder of Michael Love and booked into the city jail to await his initial court appearance. At the time of the arrest, law enforcement officials indicated that their investigation was ongoing and that further arrests were possible in connection with the fatal shooting. There is no publicly available information on the outcome of the case against Kenyatta Robinson.
