On the evening of November 28, 2015, a violent domestic tragedy occurred at a residence on Church Street in Como, Mississippi, claiming the lives of two women. Authorities were called to the home around 10:00 p.m. after reports of a shooting. Inside, they discovered the bodies of 68-year-old Emma Jackson, a Black female, and her 22-year-old granddaughter, Cerea Jackson. Both women had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
