Matthew Cole Bishop, a 19-year-old mechanic from Carthage, Mississippi, tragically died on December 29, 2016. According to reports, Bishop was driving south on Midway Road in Leake County when he was shot in the head with a shotgun by one of five men in a car that pulled up next to him. This incident resulted in his immediate death, and his funeral services were held on January 4, 2017, at the Wilcox Chapel, with burial in Goshen Cemetery.
