In the spring of 2017, Elvin Butler, a 38-year-old man, was at a friend's house in Jackson, Mississippi, when his life was abruptly ended. On the evening of May 7th, while Butler was seated in a chair in the yard, a man approached and opened fire, fatally wounding him. The brazen nature of the attack left neighbors and authorities searching for answers.
