On the morning of December 2, 2017, Alvin “Bubba” Gulledge Sr., a 78-year-old African American man, was fatally shot at his residence located at 621 Colonial Drive in Holly Springs, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but despite their efforts, Mr. Gulledge succumbed to his injuries before he could be airlifted to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.
