In the summer of 2018, the life of a young man, Shamarie Thompson, was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of Friday, June 29, 2018, the 19-year-old male was fatally wounded in a shooting that unfolded on North Flag Chapel Road. First responders and law enforcement were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire.
