Kenneth Joshlin "Josh" Smith, a 32-year-old Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper, tragically lost his life on September 30, 2018. Smith, who was off-duty at the time, was fatally shot near the Alcorn County and Tippah County line in Mississippi. The incident occurred early in the morning, and upon arrival, officers discovered Smith and another individual, Rickie Dale Vick, suffering from gunshot wounds.
