In the winter of 2019, tragedy struck the community of Moss Point, Mississippi, with the death of 19-year-old Asia Briana Norman. A Black female, Norman was the victim of a triple homicide that occurred on December 22, 2019. The violent incident took place at a residence in the 620 block of Old Stag Road.
Moss Point Police were called to the home to find a grim scene. Norman and another individual, 32-year-old George Kirkland, were found deceased inside the house.
A third victim, Lindsay Foster Hurr, was discovered in critical condition and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Hurr, 37, succumbed to her injuries on January 5, 2020, raising the death toll to three.
The investigation into the murders has been complex. The residence where the victims were found was known to law enforcement for previous criminal activity, a factor that has presented challenges for investigators. Police have stated they do not believe the killings were a random act of violence and that the victims were likely targeted. Family members reported that Kirkland had been beaten and shot.
In the years since the killings, the case has remained unsolved, with no arrests made and no suspects publicly named. The Moss Point Police Department continues to investigate the triple homicide and has urged anyone with information to come forward. The families of Asia Norman, George Kirkland, and Lindsay Hurr are still awaiting justice for their loved ones.
