Dedontae Dominique Jackson, a 30-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, tragically lost their life on January 25, 2021. Jackson, who was also known as Dominique Jackson, was a Black transgender woman. On the day of the incident, Jackson was found shot to death inside a vehicle that had crashed into a utility pole on Rose Street and Grand Avenue. The circumstances surrounding Jackson's death have raised significant concerns within the community and among advocacy groups.
