Terry Gene Rutland, a 46-year-old resident of Petal, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on July 23, 2021. Rutland was found with a gunshot wound outside a residence on Owens Lane, just outside the Petal city limits in Forrest County. Despite the efforts of ambulance personnel who administered medical treatment, Rutland was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
