On a late Tuesday evening in August 2021, tragedy struck the small community of Coahoma, Mississippi. Just before 10 p.m. on August 10th, the Coahoma County Sheriff's Department received a call reporting a shooting with multiple victims. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 51-year-old Regina Smith Hopkins, who had been fatally wounded and was pronounced dead at the scene.
