Joseph Dean Kersh, a 65-year-old resident of Star, Mississippi, was involved in a tragic incident that led to his arrest and subsequent legal proceedings. On February 17, 2021, Rankin County deputies responded to a medical call at Kersh's home on Shady Hill Drive in Star. Kersh had called for assistance, complaining of leg and foot pain.
