In the early hours of a Sunday morning, the life of 20-year-old Jamarcus Black, a Black male from Shaw, Mississippi, was tragically cut short by gunfire. The fatal incident occurred shortly after midnight on October 24, 2021, during a large gathering at Waxhaw Park, located about six miles north of Rosedale in Bolivar County. When deputies from the Bolivar County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they discovered a chaotic situation with two young men having been shot multiple times.
