On November 21, 2021, the Black/African American woman was fatally wounded by gunfire at the Elmwood Apartments on Lawrence Street. When Biloxi Police officers responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 10:50 p.m., they discovered Williamson deceased at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.
Another individual, described as a friend of Williamson, was also found at the apartment complex with a gunshot wound. This second victim was transported to Merit Health Biloxi and later transferred to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama, in critical condition. Authorities who spoke with the victim's family do not believe Williamson and the injured person shot one another. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and as of the latest available information, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the case.

Having been educated in the Biloxi and Gulfport School Districts, she went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Her life was celebrated on December 4, 2021, where mourners were asked to wear vibrant colors to reflect her lively spirit. In a testament to her generous nature, her family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations of new purses, wigs, or shoes be made to a local nonprofit organization.
