In the quiet town of Winona, Mississippi, the life of 56-year-old Sammie Louis Bryant, a male resident, was tragically cut short on Christmas Day in 2022. On that Sunday, December 25th, law enforcement deputies received a call about shots being fired at a location on Carroll County Road 65 in the late afternoon. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Bryant had been fatally shot.
The investigation into the shooting quickly led to a suspect. Khadarron Denaris Foreman, a 28-year-old man from McCarley, was arrested in connection with the death of Bryant. Foreman was subsequently charged with homicide and was held at the Carroll Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility. The case against him proceeded through the legal system, leading to an indictment on a charge of first-degree murder.
In late May of 2024, the trial of Khadarron Foreman commenced, spanning three days. After the presentation of evidence and testimony, the judicial process concluded with Foreman being sentenced to 20 years in prison for the homicide of Sammie Louis Bryant.
