On the morning of February 26, 2016, 30-year-old Nathan Scoggins, a devoted father, son, and brother, was at his mother's home in Longtown, Oklahoma. Described by loved ones as a true cowboy with a passion for working with horses, he had been job hunting during the week. That morning, his mother, Melanie, allowed him to sleep in while she took his son to school around 7:50 a.m.
