In the late summer of 2016, the life of 27-year-old Casey Jones Adkins came to a violent and tragic end in Catoosa, Oklahoma. On August 12th, his body was discovered, the victim of a fatal shooting. The investigation into his death would unravel a dark story involving multiple individuals and connections to a notorious criminal organization.
Authorities determined that Adkins' death was not a random act of violence but a calculated murder.
The investigation, led by the Rogers County Sheriff's Office, soon focused on a group of individuals with ties to the Irish Mob. As the pieces of the puzzle began to come together, a grim picture emerged of Adkins being deliberately lured to his death.
The unraveling of the case brought several suspects to the forefront. Amy Worsham was identified as the woman who enticed Casey Adkins into a vehicle just before he was shot and killed. Facing the grave charge of second-degree murder, Worsham ultimately entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 25 years in prison for her role in the crime.
The man who pulled the trigger, Cory Kuebler, faced the possibility of a death sentence for his actions. In addition to the murder of Adkins, Kuebler was also charged with the killing of another individual, Curtis Hergenrother, in Tulsa. To avoid capital punishment, Kuebler entered a guilty plea for both murders. Another man, Shawn Goddard, was also implicated in Adkins' murder and faced the death penalty for his alleged involvement in the brutal slaying.
