In the winter of 2017, a gathering of friends in a Midwest City home took a tragic and violent turn, resulting in the death of 39-year-old Darrel Barksdale Jr. On January 28th, Barksdale, along with two other men, Donielle Gregory, 39, and Terence Laval Jackson, 51, were shot and killed in what would become the city's first-ever triple homicide. The men had been invited to the home of their friend, Raymond Pew.
