On a tragic day in Norman, Oklahoma, Cayann Patterson, a 49-year-old Caucasian woman, lost her life in a violent sequence of events that stemmed from a history of domestic turmoil. Her death on February 7, 2017, was part of a double murder-suicide carried out by her estranged husband, Timothy Michael Deffner. The tragedy unfolded as Deffner first went to the home of Bryan Young, Cayann's 47-year-old divorce attorney, where he shot and killed him.
