Floyd Peterson, a 32-year-old Chicago resident, was shot and killed on July 24, 2011, in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. The shooting occurred in the evening on the 7400 block of East 74th Street. According to available reports, Peterson was involved in an argument with three men before the altercation escalated into violence. He was shot multiple times, including in the chest, and succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
