In the quiet community of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, a devastating series of events unfolded, culminating in the tragic death of 19-year-old Clarissa Kaser. On February 9, 2021, Clarissa, a recent graduate of Charles Page High School, and her 14-year-old sister, Crystal 'Grey' Kaser, were found deceased in their home. The young female victims had their lives cut short in a place that should have been their sanctuary.
The circumstances leading to the discovery were harrowing.
The girls' mother, while at her job, received a deeply disturbing phone call from her husband and the girls' father, 56-year-old David Kaser. During this call, he made threats to harm their children. The mother's terror was amplified when she heard what she believed to be a gunshot over the phone, followed by her husband's chilling words, 'How do you like that?'. This prompted an immediate and urgent call to the police, requesting a welfare check at their residence on South Walnut Creek Drive.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers attempted to make contact with the home's occupants but received no response. When the girls' mother arrived at the scene, she granted officers permission to enter the house. Inside, they made a grim discovery. Clarissa, her younger sister Crystal, and their father, David Kaser, were all found dead.
The investigation that followed concluded that David Kaser had fatally shot both of his daughters before turning the gun on himself in a double murder-suicide. A handgun was recovered at the scene. While investigators believe they have determined a motive for the horrific act, they have not released it to the public, though they have shared it with the family.
