In the small town of Leedey, Oklahoma, a tragic event unfolded on the morning of September 13, 2021, forever altering the lives of a local family and shocking the close-knit community. Angel Lynn Wilson Boyd, a 44-year-old female and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician, was found deceased alongside her 31-year-old sister-in-law, Stacy Leann Boyd.
The two women had been fatally shot at the Leedey Ambulance Barn, a place where Angel devoted her time to saving others.
The grim discovery was made by Angel's husband, Mitchell Boyd. Concern grew when neither his wife nor his sister, Stacy, answered his phone calls. He had arranged for Stacy and her live-in boyfriend, Tye Sechrist, to visit his home to talk. When they failed to arrive and his calls went unanswered, a sense of unease led him to the ambulance barn. There, he was met with a scene of unimaginable horror, finding both his wife and sister with fatal gunshot wounds.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called to lead the inquiry into the double homicide. The investigation quickly pointed to Tye Sechrist as the primary suspect. In a surprising turn of events, Sechrist himself contacted the authorities and surrendered. He was subsequently arrested and faced two counts of first-degree murder.

Angel Boyd was remembered not only as the Director of Leedey EMS and a paramedic for Roger Mills County EMS but also as a loving mother of four and a grandmother.
