In the late winter of 1911 in Superior, Wisconsin, a seemingly routine police matter escalated into a tragedy that would ultimately claim the life of Patrolman Roy W. Jackson. On Wednesday, March 22, Jackson, a male officer with the Superior Police Department, attempted to arrest two individuals suspected of stealing a bicycle.
