Patricia Birmingham, a 16-year-old girl from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was found dead on March 20, 1949. Her body was discovered by firefighters in the Milwaukee River, weighted down with a 38-pound concrete block and showing signs of having been shot in the head. Patricia had been missing for 38 days before her body was found.

The investigation into Patricia's death revealed that she had been shot twice, once in the head and once in the neck. The police theorized that she might have recogniz ...
