On a crisp autumn day in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the life of Robert Paul Bolton, a 28-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short. It was October 6, 1982, and Bolton, a dedicated police officer with four years of service to the Eau Claire Police Department, was responding to a domestic disturbance call on the city's north side.
