Thomas Elliot, a 62-year-old Black / African American man, was a well-known professional pool player in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was affectionately known as "Peter Blue." His life, however, was not without its struggles, as he had faced legal issues and was arrested on drug-related charges in 2006, leading to his release in 2012. Despite this, he was remembered by his family as a laid-back, kindhearted, and supportive father and grandfather who had a flair for fashion, often dressing in
suits.
On the night of December 7, 2015, after a quiet evening playing cards with friends at his long-time girlfriend's house on the 4100 block of West Fairmount Avenue, Elliot's life came to a tragic end. Around 11:00 PM, as he stepped outside, he was ambushed by two assailants who shot him multiple times. The suspects had apparently been waiting for him, leading police to believe he was targeted due to others' knowledge of his financial success. Despite attempts to save his life, Thomas Elliot was pronounced dead at the scene. Milwaukee Police later stated that the incident appeared to be drug-related.
The investigation into Thomas Elliot's murder has remained a cold case for years, with no arrests made. Witnesses at the scene provided descriptions of two suspects to the police. The first was an African American male in his early 30s, approximately 5'7" tall with a medium build, who was seen wearing a dark skull cap and a dark coat while armed with a handgun. The second suspect was also an African American male, estimated to be between 28 and 30 years old, standing around 5'10" with a slim build. After the shooting, one of the suspects was seen getting into the rear passenger seat of a white four-door Cadillac with tinted windows, which then fled the scene. Despite countless interviews, investigators have been unable to generate any solid leads, though they believe one person who was at the card game that night and has not been located may have more information. Elliot's family continues to hold out hope for closure and justice in his senseless killing.
