In the late summer of 2017, the small community of Fall Creek, Wisconsin, was rocked by a grim discovery that brought a tragic end to the lives of two people. David R. Dishneau, a 59-year-old Caucasian male, and his girlfriend, 43-year-old Elizabeth “Lisa” Price, were found dead on September 23, 2017. Their deaths were not the result of an accident, but a violent act that would lead to a complex and emotional legal battle.
The investigation into their disappearance led authorities to
a property in Fall Creek where they made the horrific discovery. Both Dishneau and Price had been shot and then buried in a shallow grave. The ensuing investigation quickly focused on a primary suspect: Wayne Price, who was the brother of Elizabeth Price.
When law enforcement initially made contact with Wayne Price, the encounter was fraught with tension. Friends reported that he had been using cocaine and meth. In a desperate act, Price attempted to take his own life by slitting his throat with a knife, but officers were able to intervene and wrestle the weapon away from him.
Following the grim discovery and the confrontation, Wayne Price, then 47 years old, was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with two counts of murder and two counts of hiding a corpse in connection with the deaths of his sister and her boyfriend. In court proceedings that followed, Price’s bond was set at $1 million. The case moved through the legal system, eventually resulting in a plea deal and a sentence of over 28 years in prison for the killings.
