Christopher Beamon, a 17-year-old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, tragically lost his life on September 30, 2017, just one day before his 18th birthday. The incident occurred in the 6800 block of West Good Hope Road. According to reports, Beamon was involved in an attempted robbery that turned fatal. He had agreed to sell two guns to another individual in exchange for cash and cocaine. During the transaction, Beamon and his accomplice, Sharunn D. Dixon, entered the buyer's car.
Dixon pointed a gun at the buyer's head, leading to a struggle over the weapon. The struggle moved outside the car, where the buyer managed to gain control of the gun and shot Beamon, who was crouching on the other side of the vehicle.
Following the incident, Sharunn D. Dixon was charged with felony murder, which was later amended to attempted armed robbery-party to a crime as part of a plea agreement. Dixon was sentenced to seven years in prison, followed by five years of extended supervision.
