In the spring of 2020, a horrific act of violence shattered a Milwaukee family. A 19-year-old Black / African American male named Marcus G. Stokes was tragically killed on April 27, 2020, a victim of a mass shooting inside a residence on the city's north side. The events of that morning were set in motion by the person who was supposed to be his protector, his own father.
