On a summer evening in Sumner, Wisconsin, the tragic death of 57-year-old Nedra Lemke, a White female, unfolded at a family property. On June 16, 2020, she and her husband, James "Jim" Lemke, went to her late parents' home to mow the lawn. Upon their arrival, they noticed broken windows and suspected a burglary. Nedra placed a calm call to 911 around 5:45 p.m. to report the break-in, stating they would wait for law enforcement before entering the house.
