In the early hours of Father's Day, June 21, 2020, a shooting in Milwaukee claimed the life of 31-year-old Dieria Walton Stokes, a Black/African American male. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of 32nd and West Fairmount. Stokes was driving his vehicle when an unknown assailant or assailants opened fire, striking his car multiple times.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted to render aid, but Stokes ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced ...
