On a summer day in June of 1996, the quiet community near Mount Spokane was disturbed by a grim discovery. The partially-clad and badly decomposed body of Shannon Rene Zielinski, a 38-year-old White female, was found in a wooded area near the intersection of Holcomb Road and Mount Spokane Park Drive on June 14.
