Lindsey Sonja Lucas, a 35-year-old Caucasian woman, was tragically killed on or around August 2, 2015. She was discovered in her duplex in the 11200 block of 71st Avenue Court East near Puyallup, Washington. The grim discovery was made by her teenage daughter and sister at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Monday, August 3rd.
Authorities from the Pierce County Sheriff's Department investigated the scene and determined that Lindsey had been fatally shot. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Alongside her, investigators found the body of 31-year-old Brandon Bos. The investigation concluded that Bos, with whom Lindsey had been in an on-again, off-again relationship, had shot and killed her before taking his own life. Investigators believe the murder-suicide likely occurred late Saturday, August 1st, or early Sunday, August 2nd. Neighbors in the area did not report hearing any gunshots.
Lindsey was born on June 20, 1980, in Lakewood, Washington, and was the youngest of four siblings. She graduated from McKinley High School in Honolulu in 1998. Described as someone who loved dancing and music, her greatest joy was her two children, a daughter and a son. A memorial service to celebrate her life was held on August 13, 2015, at the Puyallup Tribal Youth Center.
