On a December evening in 2015, a domestic dispute in a home near Lacey, Washington, escalated into a tragic and fatal encounter. Feagaiga Tausaga Leiataua, a 30-year-old male of Samoan descent, was at the center of a three-hour standoff with law enforcement that ended with his death. The events of December 13th began to unfold when deputies from the Thurston County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on 49th Loop Southeast following a report of a stabbing.
