In the early morning hours of June 30, 2016, a tragic incident unfolded in the small community of Manson, Washington, forever changing the lives of one family. Anna Gladys Sanchez, a 23-year-old Hispanic female, was at a residence in the Lakeview Trailer Park when Chelan County Deputies responded to a call shortly after 3:00 a.m. regarding a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Anna had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head.
She was immediately airlifted to an out-of-area hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Anna Sanchez succumbed to her injuries and passed away on July 1, 2016, at Sacred Heart Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Wenatchee, Washington, on February 11, 1993, to Luisa Martinez and Felipe Sanchez, Anna was remembered as a beautiful and kind-hearted soul. She was a loving mother who cherished her daughter more than anything.
Chelan County Detectives launched an investigation into the shooting. After interviewing all known individuals involved in the incident, the preliminary investigation led authorities to believe that the shooting was accidental.
