On a summer day in 2017, the life of 58-year-old Keith “Ice” Ayson, a Black male, came to a violent end. He was a homeless man in Seattle, Washington, navigating the challenges of life on the streets. On June 4th, he was fatally shot, but the circumstances of his death would not begin to come to light for several weeks. His body lay undiscovered in an isolated ravine in the Highline area, south of downtown Seattle, a place where a road dead-ends near a highway.
