In a quiet mobile home park in Lakewood, Washington, the life of 49-year-old Greg Satterlee, a Caucasian male, came to a tragic and violent end on October 30, 2017. The events of that day unfolded within the confines of the residence he shared with his roommate, 46-year-old Shawn Noble. An argument over rent money escalated, leading to a fatal confrontation that would leave both men dead.
The grim discovery was set in motion when a friend of Noble's received a disturbing phone call.
In that call, Noble confessed to his friend that he had made a terrible mistake, admitting, "I shot and killed him." He then asked for assistance in hiding Satterlee's body, a request his friend immediately refused. Following the refusal, Noble stated his intention to take his own life and abruptly ended the call. The friend wasted no time in contacting 911, sending police to the mobile home in the 6500 block of 150th Street Southwest.
Upon their arrival, officers were unable to make contact with anyone inside the residence. A SWAT team was called to the scene, and after forced entry, they made a somber discovery. Greg Satterlee was found deceased, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. His roommate, Shawn Noble, was also found dead from what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Investigators concluded that Noble had shot and killed Satterlee before taking his own life in a tragic murder-suicide. The Pierce County medical examiner later confirmed the identities of the two men and the causes of their deaths.
