In the early hours of January 6, 2018, a night out in Seattle's White Center neighborhood turned tragic for Paul Tapia, a 45-year-old male. The evening ended in a fatal encounter in the parking lot of the Taradise Cafe, where Tapia and another man, Jose Garcia, were shot. Garcia, 51, died at the scene, while Tapia was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries. Despite medical efforts, Tapia succumbed to a gunshot wound to his head and passed away.
