McKoy, an aspiring rapper known by his stage name "Juice The God," had just finished a performance at The Vera Project at Seattle Center. Shortly after 2 a.m., witnesses reported hearing gunshots near the intersection of 1st Avenue North and Republican Street.
When police arrived, they found McKoy on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head. Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics to provide aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
