In the quiet city of Lacey, Washington, a tragic event unfolded on November 17, 2018, forever altering the lives of two families. Nicholas Olson, a 25-year-old White male, was found deceased in his home, the victim of a violent encounter that also claimed the life of his 23-year-old roommate. The initial discovery was made by police who were responding to a domestic dispute call at the residence.
The circumstances leading to the deaths began with an argument between the shooter, 24-year-old Logan Ochoa, and his girlfriend. Ochoa had reportedly kicked his girlfriend out of the house they shared with Olson and the other victim. When she called 911, responding officers were met with a startling confession. As they spoke with the girlfriend outside the home, Ochoa emerged with his hands in the air and admitted to shooting his two roommates.
Inside the residence, law enforcement found Nicholas Olson and his female roommate deceased from gunshot wounds. Ochoa was immediately taken into custody. During questioning, he initially claimed to have acted in self-defense. However, his story later changed, and he confessed to the investigators that he shot them because he felt they had bullied him.
