On a summer evening in Seattle, Washington, 18-year-old Adriel Terrell Webb, a Black male, was fatally shot on July 20, 2020. A recent graduate of Seattle Urban Academy, Webb had his sights set on the future, with plans to study engineering at Highline Community College that fall. The night he was killed, he was with two friends on their way home from a barbecue when their vehicle experienced engine trouble, forcing them to pull over at a gas station at the intersection of 23rd and Cherry.
