In the early hours of June 20, 2022, a violent crime spree in West Seattle reached its tragic conclusion, ending the life of 58-year-old Anthony Gonzalez. A Hispanic male, Gonzalez was fatally shot with a shotgun just after 12:20 a.m. while he was sitting on his bed inside a structure at a Delridge homeless encampment located at 26th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Juneau Street. He died at the scene.
