William Spencer Ganote Sr., a 46-year-old White male, tragically lost his life on September 14, 1989, in Louisville, Kentucky. A dedicated pressman at Standard Gravure for 26 years, Ganote was one of the victims of a workplace shooting perpetrated by a former colleague, Joseph T. Wesbecker. Despite a severe pressroom accident in 1976 that resulted in the loss of all his fingers, Ganote had persevered, continuing his work and even nurturing a passion for painting.
